What the builder costs you

A page builder is excellent at the first ninety per cent and expensive at the last ten. The markup it produces is not yours, so the one change you need is the one you cannot make.

Where the time actually goes

Not in the visuals. It goes into the admin screen, the empty states, and the twenty small decisions about what happens when a field is left blank.

Measuring rather than assuming

Every layout claim should be checked against what the browser rendered, at the widths people actually use. Most of the bugs worth finding come from a screenshot that looked about right.
